HORAN FOUNDATION is a Syrian-focused non-profit organization working in Syria and countries of asylum with no discrimination. through emergency interventions, meeting their basic needs, and implementing highly competent community development programs.
HORAN FOUNDATION was established with the escalation of the Syrian crisis at the beginning of 2012 in Jordan and registered in Turkey in2014 and Switzerland in 2016, where it started as a group of friends to provide emergency humanitarian assistance in Daraa and its countryside. Since then, HORAN FOUNDATION has developed to become one of the largest organization supporting the Syrian people, through the implementation of 350 projects that helped the lives of more than 10 million beneficiaries throughout the Syrian territory and neighboring countries of asylum , and also contributed to the establishment of the Platform of Syrian Associations (MinberSuriye), one of the most important coordination platforms for humanitarian workers in the Syrian affairs. It has the membership of the NGO Forum and membership in Syrian Networks and membership in the Forum for the Voice of the displaced Syrians.
We choose the best ways to facilitate the regular delivery of food to those in need, in addition to contributing to increasing the chances of obtaining a constant income resource by supporting agricultural and livestock production projects to contribute to poverty reduction
We strive to provide primary and secondary health care and raise the level of medical services offered, in addition to contributing to the rehabilitation of specialized cadres and working to spread awareness about diseases and their prevention
We work to support drinking water supply projects in a way that contributes to ensuring a healthy, decent and safe life, in addition to awareness activities and the provision of services related to personal hygiene
We seriously face all the challenges facing raising literacy rates and providing education to all levels of Syrian society in a manner that includes and equates all people, especially those living in vulnerable situations
Shelter & NFI
We contribute to alleviating the shelter shortage by repairing and maintaining destroyed buildings to make them usable, in addition to establishing temporary camps in emergencies and securing necessary non-food supplies that ensure a decent and safe life
We help improve the protection environment for people affected by conflict and reject violence, discrimination, and exploitation for the most vulnerable groups, in addition to supporting the academic and professional qualification of women, especially the heads of their families, within the scope of women’s empowerment and support
